Kenya Power Announces Planned Outages in Four Counties

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in four counties as part of routine maintenance activities. The planned outages will affect parts of Kericho, Kisii, Nyamira, and Nyeri counties on Monday, March 16.

In Kericho County, the interruption will affect parts of Bureti from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Areas affected include Bureti Dairies, Cheborge Market, Cheplanget Market, Chebwagan Secondary School, and Kibwastuiyo Market.

Other locations include Ngesumin Secondary School, Kapsegut Boys, Kureti TTI, Kenene Dispensary, and Bokoyot Centre. Parts of Roret Market, Tebesonik Factory, Tebesonik Centre, and nearby customers will also experience outages.

In Kisii County, Etago area will experience power interruption from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The outage will affect Kenyenya Primary School, Nyangweta SDA Secondary School, and Etago Market.

Other affected areas include Nyansembe, Nyakeyo, Suguta, Moticho, Engou, Nyabera, Nyamaiya, Ekona, Mogenda, and Ochodororo. Maroo and surrounding customers will also face disruption during the scheduled maintenance period.

Another outage in Kisii County will affect Gesonso and Nyakungu from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Areas listed include Gesonso Market, Gesonso Police Station, Ekioga Vocational, and Nyakungu Primary School.

Nyamira and Nyeri Counties Listed

In Nyamira County, the outage will affect Omogonchoro and Moneke from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Areas include Omogonchoro Market, Moitunya, Nyachichi Secondary School, Kerora, and Kiabiraa Secondary School.

In Nyeri County, power interruption will affect Ring Road and Kamakwa areas from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Locations include Kamakwa, Kamuyu, Nyawira Estate, Kanoga Primary School, and Mt. Kenya Salvation School.

Another interruption will affect Njoguini and Kabage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Areas listed include Njoguini Market, Kiina, Kabage, Njoguini Dispensary, Thatha, and nearby customers.

The company has urged affected customers to plan accordingly during the maintenance period. Residents should take necessary precautions and prepare for temporary disruption of electricity supply.
