Raphael Tuju Moves Into Dari Business Park Amid Court Battle

Raphael Tuju has moved into Dari Business Park on Sunday morning. He said he will occupy the property under an existing court order.

He explained that the court order blocks any sale, transfer, or lease of the disputed property. He added that the ruling protects his right to remain at the premises.

Tuju stated that he will stay at the property until the court gives further instructions. He also insisted that he will follow any lawful court directive issued later.

He said he does not trust the security officers currently deployed at the premises. He claimed they operate under influence from his political opponents.

Tuju added that he prefers to stay without those officers present. He said police should only enforce valid court orders and not support land disputes.

He warned that he will resist any attempt to remove him without a court order. He said he will comply immediately if a valid order is presented.

The dispute involves several high-value properties located in Karen. The case relates to an alleged unpaid loan of Ksh1.9 billion.

East African Development Bank issued the original loan of about Ksh1.2 billion. Interest accumulated over time and increased the total debt.

The legal case also covers Entim Sidai Wellness Sanctuary and Tamarind Karen. Both sides continue to claim ownership of the properties.

Tuju earlier accused police of occupying the premises without a court order. He said officers remained at the site for several days.

He also claimed that he was under surveillance during the dispute. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations later disputed parts of his claims.

The matter remains active in court as both sides wait for final determination. The court will decide ownership and control after reviewing all evidence.
