Israel Carry Out Massive Attack on Sourthern Lebanon

A series of powerful explosions struck southern Lebanon shortly after midnight following reported Israeli attacks, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).

The blasts were reported in the areas of Yohmor al-Chqif, Arnoun and Kfar Tebnit, with residents describing widespread shockwaves across the south.

Shockwaves Felt Across Several Areas

According to NNA, the explosions were strong enough to be felt in el-Kharroub and Khalde, far from the immediate strike zones.

In the Marjayoun district, explosions near Beaufort Castle reportedly shattered windows and damaged several homes in the nearby town of Qlayaa.

Residents told local media that the blasts produced intense vibrations and left a strong smell of gunpowder hanging over the area.

Heavy Gunfire and Artillery Reported

NNA also reported that Israeli forces carried out operations around the outskirts of al-Mansouri and Biyout al-Sayyad in the Tyre District.

The agency said forces used heavy machinegun fire during the operation and also launched artillery shells toward al-Mansouri.

Tank Movements Reported

In the Bint Jbeil District, reports indicated that tanks moved from the Baraachit hill toward Aainata.

NNA said residents in both the Eastern and Western sectors experienced additional explosions and strong ground vibrations during the night.

Israeli authorities had not immediately commented on the reported attacks or military activity at the time of publication.

The latest developments come amid heightened tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where exchanges of fire and military operations have increased in recent months.
