DCP Director Stanley Kimure Reportedly Abducted After Ruto–Gachagua Clash in Ol Kalou

The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Political Affairs Director, Stanley Kimure, has allegedly been abducted following a political clash involving William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua in Ol Kalou on Wednesday.

According to lawyer Ndegwa Njiru, who is allied to Gachagua, Kimure—also known as Stano—was reportedly seized by unknown individuals around Rironi.

“DCP Political Affairs Director Stanley Kimure has been abducted by unknown individuals around Rironi,” Njiru stated.

He further revealed that Kimure was in the company of Mark Mwenje at the time of the incident and was allegedly taken using a Subaru Forester.

“He was with Hon. Mark Mwenje at the time. The MP is currently pursuing the vehicle along Limuru Road,” Njiru added.

The alleged abduction comes shortly after heightened political tensions during the burial of the late Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho on April 8, where rival factions linked to Ruto and Gachagua clashed publicly.

Tensions escalated when John Methu was forced to cut short his speech after declaring that he “respects but does not fear” President Ruto, while also criticizing Kimani Ichung’wah.

Gachagua used the platform to hit back at his political rivals, signaling his continued influence despite his removal from office.

By the time of publication, neither Gachagua nor the DCP party had issued an official statement regarding the alleged abduction.
