Israel’s military says one of its officers was moderately injured during what it described as operational activity in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the military said the officer had been evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment and that his condition was classified as moderate.
The incident comes as Israeli forces continue operations in parts of southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreement intended to reduce hostilities along the border.
On Friday, Israeli forces also carried out a series of powerful detonations near the UNESCO-listed Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, according to reports from the area.
Lebanese authorities had not immediately commented on the reported injury or the latest military activity.
