Joyce Omondi Exits Citizen TV Rauka Show After Four Years

Joyce Omondi has officially announced her exit from Rauka, ending her four-year tenure on the popular Sunday morning program. She confirmed that her final appearance will air on April 19, marking the conclusion of her current hosting role.

Omondi described her time on the show as a meaningful journey. She said she valued the opportunity to connect with viewers through gospel music and uplifting content. She also thanked her colleagues and audience for their continued support during her time on the program.

This exit marks her second departure from Rauka. She first hosted the show between 2012 and 2013 before being replaced by gospel musician Kambua. She later returned in January 2022 after Kambua left the station.

Rauka airs every Sunday morning on Citizen TV from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. The show focuses on gospel music, worship, and inspirational messages, attracting a large morning audience across the country. During her most recent stint, Omondi co-hosted alongside Ken the Deejay, contributing to the show’s steady viewership.

Her exit comes during a period of changes within Kenya’s media space. Just recently, Janet Mbugua also left Fixing the Nation on NTV after one year on the program. Mbugua said her decision was driven by personal and professional priorities.

Following her departure, Fellaris Wambui was announced as her replacement. Co-host Eric Latiff confirmed the transition and appreciated Mbugua’s contribution to the show.

These developments reflect ongoing changes in Kenya’s television industry, where presenters continue to shift roles as they pursue new opportunities and priorities in their careers.
