Detectives arrested a 29-year-old woman after seizing 255 kilogrammes of cannabis during a raid in Kilifi County. Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations conducted the operation targeting suspected narcotics activities in the area.

Officers recovered eight sacks containing rolls of dry plant material wrapped in khaki paper during the search. Investigators suspect the substance to be cannabis sativa based on its appearance and packaging style.
Police transported the suspect and recovered narcotics to Watamu Police Station for processing and documentation. Authorities weighed the drugs and confirmed a total of 255 kilogrammes with significant street value.
Officials estimated the seized cannabis value at approximately Ksh 7.65 million based on current market rates. Investigators collected samples to support forensic analysis and strengthen evidence for prosecution proceedings.
