The Kenya Revenue Authority has declared a vacancy for the position of Commissioner General. The authority aims to recruit a new leader to guide its strategic and operational direction.
In a public notice issued on April fourteen, KRA confirmed it seeks a qualified individual to serve as Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will lead the institution through an ongoing transformation agenda.
KRA stated that applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a degree from an accredited university. Candidates must also hold a master’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field.
The authority requires applicants to have at least fifteen years of work experience in relevant sectors. At least ten of those years must be in senior leadership roles within large organizations.
Applicants must also demonstrate full compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution and the Leadership and Integrity Act. These requirements aim to ensure accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership within the institution.
The Commissioner General will oversee daily operations, manage resources, and provide strategic direction to staff. The role also includes serving as the accounting officer and a member of the KRA board.
Other responsibilities include driving revenue collection initiatives and identifying key performance areas across the authority. The successful candidate will also lead efforts to strengthen digital transformation and improve efficiency.
Interested candidates must submit an application letter and curriculum vitae addressed to the KRA Chairman. Applications can be delivered physically to Times Tower in Nairobi or sent through the official email.
Applicants must also complete a candidate information form available on the KRA website and attach it. The recruitment process signals KRA’s push to strengthen leadership and enhance revenue performance.
